The falcon is the fastest bird in the country. It has sharp claws so it can grab rabbits and little baby birds.The falcon digs into the rabbit when it gets up in the air so it doesn't fall out of the falcon's claws or the falcon will just have no food.

The NZ Falcon

Happy Feet
The emperor penguin was with the vet because he ate sand and thought it was ice.He swallowed sticks,stones,and sand.The vet had taken the stones,sand,and sticks out of his stomach.Happy Feet had to stay in the zoo for 6 months.

Backstroke
Room 7 and Glenbrae School teachers had a tutor from Water Safe NZ come to school to help us learn how to be safe. She lent us some life jackets and told us to practise floating and kicking on our backs as this is a good way to stay floating for a long time. Some of us are getting quite good at backstroke and sculling to help us move through the water even without the lifejackets.
